I'm sure this is the post you friends were waiting for, not to sound conceited or anything. But as many of you know, I moved to Southern California from the Bay Area to attend UCLA Extension's Design Communications Art program and to start my new job as Junior Graphic Designer. I moved into my boyfriend's back room, and made it my own with many thanks to Ikea.
Polka dots are my obsession, or my addiction?
Prints hanged by my bed. I plan on covering the whole wall, but then there'd be holes everywhere.
Right next to the bed, is my little work area, complete with rug.
I finally have my white desk!
Above is an unnecessary tray, but it's coo'. Below is my teeny bookshelf, that will hopefully last me these next 3 months.
And that's pretty much it! I lived in Orange County when I went to UCI, but living in the LA area is so much different. For one thing, driving here is absolutely crazy, there are numerous ways to get to one place, the roads are not very wide, and sometimes there are no left-turn only signal lights! I was pretty sheltered in terms of driving up north and in Irvine, so this a major adjustment for me. I hope that in a month, I'll be super pro and have a better understanding of the alternative routes that have less traffic. But for now, I'm one of those drivers that goes 35 mph in a 50 zone because I am an easily terrified driver.
